Canadian Crime Stoppers Association
Crime Stoppers is a civilian, non profit, charitable organization that brings together in a tiparte relationship, the police services of a community, the media and the community in the fight against crime. Crime Stoppers provides citizens with a vehicle to anonymously supply the police with information about a crime or potential crime of which they have knowledge. Cash rewards are offered to people who call the program and their information leads to an arrest.

Nanaimo & District Crime Stoppers
The local program is a civilian, non-profit, community organization dedicated to assisting police in solving crime in the Ladysmith, Nanaimo and Gabriola Island areas. As there is no government funding, Crime Stoppers relies totally on community support. The Board of Directors are a dedicated group of volunteers who meet regularly to raise awareness of the program, funds raise and authorize tip rewards.
